Fifa announced the host cities for the 2013 confederations cup

As it`s widely advertised by the media, Brazil will host the Fifa Soccer World Cup 2014.

Part of the preparation to host the main event, is hosting the Confederations Cup that happens in Brazil 1 year before.

Today the host cities were announced:

  • Brasilia – Should host the opening match.
  • Belo Horizonte – share semi-final matches.
  • Fortaleza - share semi-final matches.
  • Rio de Janeiro – Will host the final match.

The games begin on June 15th until 30th 2013.

There are a few nations that have guaranteed their spots:
  • Brazil – for being the host country.
  • Spain – won last Fifa soccer world cup.
  • Japan – Asian champions
  • Mexico – for being the CONCACAF gold cup winner
  • Uruguay – champion of South America.
The full schedule is to be released in June 2012.
